Lacy Daisies

Yeehaw!  Another finish for me!  This little quilt is made from the leftovers of a quilt I designed years ago.   It is hand embroidered and machine appliqued.
It was a very fun project to quilt on my Bernina sewing machine.  Here is the back.

Below is the original, much larger quilt.  The photo isn't so good, but the border is all trapunto.  It took forever but was worth every stitch.

Mom's Hexagons in Rotation

I am so excited to have finished my "One thing, one week challenge".  It was to quilt Mom's queen-sized "Hexagon's in Rotation" quilt.  It seems that I've quilted a gazillion of them, but it was really fun.  The really crazy thing is that I have two of mine that still need quilted.  You can see them here and here.

I hope she likes it.

I hope to post better photos later.  It is challenging to get a good photo when there is only one person home to hold the quilt up.  Laying them on the floor just doesn't do them justice.

This quilt project was born at our Dorinda retreat in June.   It is a stack-n-wack quilt designed by yours truly using the Super 60 ruler by Sara Nephew.  It is so fun and so fast to make.

Below are some links to others I've quilted in the past:

Becky's Cowboy Quilt

I finally finished quilting Becky's Cowboy Quilt.  I put little horses, cowboy boots, stick horses, and stars.  Becky made this project from fat quarters.  It looks so fun!D

Another heart quilt

I don't have a photo but I quilted another baby quilt and table runner for Mom. They were the Buggy Barn Heart pattern out of the same fabric as the quilt in the previous post.

Quilting for Mom and Jodi's baby

Mom made this buggy barn heart baby blanket for Jodi's new baby.  She is due to be born in the next couple of weeks.  I quilted it lightly.

If you look closely you'll see the twin to this quilt hanging on my wall in the back.  Mom and Jodi loved my colors so much that they wanted this one done in the same fabrics.  Mom made two and will likely donate the other to the summer auction.

I finally finished quilting Mom's snail's trail quilt.  It took me a long time because I really debated on how to quilt it so nothing took away from the swirls.  As it turned out, it didn't really matter because the quilting was difficult to see.  I hope she likes it.

More Machine Quilting

This is Felicity's littel cowboy round robin quilt.  I quilted a little wallhanging to go with it back in December.  Aren't they cute?
This santa quilt was made by Becky.  She wanted swirly curls in the beard so I did my best.  She will add the eyes and mustaches which will completely make it come alive.
This is Mom's black and white snails trail (or monkey wrench as some call it).  She made it at our fall retreat 2009.  It is on the frames ready to baste.

Jodi's witches

I just finished this one for Jodi.  She made it at Mom's last fall when she was suffering badly from morning sickness.  Good job Jodi! This is also one of her first quilting projects and we are all excited that she is trying her hand at quilting.

First Jan finish

This is my first finish for 2010.  I quilted it for Felicity.  I hope to have another finish today.  I will still have to buy, make, and attach the binding.  I hope I can finish that before next weekend because I will be seeing her.
